Family Roles
Most of the roles we have in our families are defined by time and experience. Deployment changes the Family roles and responsibilities. You and your spouse may have discussed these changes before deployment and how to manage them.
Research indicates four patterns that contribute to successful Family role functioning – whether your spouse is away or not! Roles must be clearly established and explained, Family members must be flexible and expect the unexpected, role distribution must be fair, and Family members must behave responsibly and strive to do their best.
