Accessing Services After the SHARP Program Restructure

In 2023 the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention program was restructured based on recommendations from the Secretary of Defense Independent Review Commission on Sexual Assault in the Military. The new SHARP framework provides an installation-based response, as opposed to the legacy, command-based structure. Sexual Assault Response Coordinators and Victim Advocates remain embedded, when feasible, or aligned to each brigade, but system coordination is handled through the installation lead SARC.
