Army Suicide Prevention Program

SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month

Submit Your Idea

Any death by suicide is one too many.

Help the Army raise awareness of and prevent suicides in the Army, and #ConnecttoProtect our Soldiers by suggesting a theme and poster for Suicide Prevention Month, in September.

Your submission should include the theme (tagline/slogan), a photo or graphic, and a brief message you want to convey. The theme should be a call to action and fit within the overall DOD theme of “Connect to Protect.” Keep it short and simple (about one brief phrase or sentence) but powerful.

Submission guidelines

Entries may be submitted from March 20 to April 2 to ARD Communications & Outreach. Acceptable electronic formats include JPG or pdf files (horizontal or vertical). All images must be 300 dpi.

Units or individuals (Soldiers and Army Civilians) may submit entries (please specify in your submission; include your name, rank, unit and contact information).

Themes and designs should be suitable for public display across Army facilities and platforms.

Any mixed media suitable for reproduction is allowed, including computer-generated graphics. Submit original artwork only; do not use trademarked or copyrighted images or phrases.

Digital designs should be submitted as a 300-dpi JPG or pdf. If submitting a traditional painting or drawing, scan and send it as a 300-dpi JPG or pdf.

The design should include the acronym “SPM 2023” or “Suicide Prevention Month 2023.”

How entries will be judged and used

All submissions will be placed on the ARD Facebook page, where we will invite Soldiers and Army team members to vote on which entry resonates the most.

A panel of HQDA ARD leaders will judge the top three entries based on message, theme and creativity.

The chosen theme and photo or graphic will be featured in print and digital materials for the SPM 2023 campaign.

The creator will receive a certificate of appreciation and an Army Challenge Coin.
