U.S. Army Reserve/National Guard Resources
The U.S. Army is a total force composed of three integral components: the Regular Army (Compo 1), the Army National Guard (Compo 2), and the Army Reserve (Compo 3). Although they serve in different ways, all three components train and operate cohesively as one team, one Army. It is common for a deploying unit to include National Guard and Army Reserve units working together to accomplish the same mission. Recognizing that many National Guard and Army Reserve Families do not reside near a military installation, both components provide dedicated Family Support Programs. These programs are vital for connecting Families with essential resources, information, and assistance wherever they are.
